Joan Rae Springsteen, 62, of 722 S. Elsie Ave., Davenport, died Sunday, May 22, 1994, at home.

Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Davenport. Burial is in Oakdale Memorial Gardens.

Visitation is 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Weerts Funeral Home, Davenport. Memorials may be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church, Davenport, where she was a member.

The former Joan Rae Campbell was born July 16, 1931, in Davenport, the daughter of Lorel and Lorraine Owens Campbell. She married Richard R. Springsteen April 17, 1948, in Marengo, Iowa.

Mrs. Springsteen was employed as a legal receptionist at the Rock Island Arsenal for 10 years, retiring in 1991.

Survivors include the widower; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Youngberg, Davenport, Terri Yerington, Mary and Britt Stanley and R. Susie and Steven McGee, all of Davenport; sons, Richard R. and Michael Springsteen, both of Davenport, Patrick Springsteen, Hillsdale, Mark Springsteen, Princeton, Iowa, and Brian Springsteen, Orleans, Mass.; 20 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his mother, a sister and brother-in-law, Elaine and Sam Kresse, and a brother, Norman Campbell, all of Davenport.
