Services for Vernet Clayton "Casey" Dick, 87, Perry, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Perry United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Perry.
Mr. Dick died Saturday, Aug. 31, 1996, at St. Francis Hospital in Topeka.
He was born May 7, 1909, in Perry, the son of Asa and Ada Angel Dick.
He was a lifelong resident of the Perry area. He farmed in the Delaware River Valley and the Kaw River Valley in the Perry area for 61 years. He was formerly associated with the Dick Brothers Trucking Co. He was a member of Perry United Methodist Church.
He married Vashti A. Ploughe on Feb. 24, 1934, in Topeka. She survives at the home.
Other survivors include a sister, Dorothy Parnell, Perry.
