SOUTH POINT, Ohio - Dollie Cora Bailey, 85, of Heartland of Riverview Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in South Point, formerly of Beartown, went to be with the Lord, Friday, Jan. 17, 2003, at the nursing home, after a long illness.
Born March 2, 1917, in Beartown, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Melvina Graham Bailey.
She was affiliated with the Methodist faith, was a homemaker, a resident of Beartown most of her life, and had resided in Southpoint for the past ten years.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Alvie Bailey and Allen Bailey; and two sisters, Daisy Jones and Eunice Bailey.
Survivors include one son, Joseph Bailey of El Paso, Texas; and two sisters, Nancy Dalton of Crumpler and Alice Lafferty of Beartown; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday at Widener Funeral Home Chapel in Northfork with the Rev. Larry Bailey officiating. Burial will follow at the Bailey Cemetery, Beartown.
Friends may call one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the funeral home.
Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
