Betty Jean Hout passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 14, 2018. She resided in Ontario, Ohio throughout her life.

Born in Crestline, Ohio on April 19, 1929, she graduated from Ontario High School and was a long time member of the United Methodist Church in Ontario, Ohio.

She will be remembered for her love and devotion to family and friends, and her passion for cake baking.

She is survived by two daughters, Kathleen Garger and (Edward) of Florida and Debra Pasheilich of Ontario; one step-daughter, Donna Yetter of Mansfield; five grandsons, Bryan and Matt DeMuth of Columbus, Ohio, Michael Wendling of Mansfield, Christopher Pasheilich of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Kyle Pasheilich of Kent, Ohio; and two great grandchildren, Isaiah and Avarie of Corpus Christie, Texas.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bernard Hout; and two brothers, Frank and Robert Hock of Mansfield, Ohio.

Friends may call on Friday, June 29, 2018 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington Springmill Rd., Ontario from 10:00 a.m. until the time of her funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will immediately follow her service at Mansfield Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be sent to OhioHealth Hospice, 335 Glessner Ave., Mansfield, OH 44903.
