Marilyn (Marly) Nancy Turks (nee Graser)
Feb. 8, 1935 — Nov. 5, 2017

Marilyn “Marly” Turks, 82, of Waukesha, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 5, 2017. Marilyn was born February 8, 1935, in Waukesha, daughter of the late Jacob and Margaret Graser (nee Dahms).

Marilyn worked at Sentry Foods on Bank Street in Waukesha for 30 years, most of it behind the deli counter, where she was very well known and loved by her regular customers and co-workers. Marilyn was always very well known for being an incredible cook. Marilyn was preceded in death by her loving husband, Gerald Turks, on October 17, 2001. Marilyn and Gerald were married on October 9, 1954, in Waukesha, and had three children, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents; sister, Gloria Smith; brothers, Arvid “Tiny” Graser and Richard “Dickey” Graser; and son in law, Donald Franzen.

Marilyn is survived by her daughters, Marlees Franzen and Suzanne (James) Weyandt; son, Thomas (Stephanie) Turks, all of Waukesha; grandchildren, Chad Franzen, Jaime (Andrew) Cutts, Allison (Tim) Loesing, Tim (Nora) Bopp, Dalton (Johana) Weyandt, Olivia Turks and Jackson Turks; great-grandchildren, Sullivan Cutts, Dalani Cutts, Noah Turks, Simon Loesing, Elliot Loesing and Shayla Bopp; siblings, Kenneth (Shinobu) Graser, Beverly Sweetland, Karen Thompson, Dale Graser, Jacob (Sharon) Graser and Cynthia (Mark) Faust; sister-in-law Sally Graser; and countless other nieces, nephews and friends.

The visitation will be held on Saturday, November 11, from 10 a.m. to the 11 a.m. funeral service at Cesarz, Charapata & Zinnecker Funeral Home, 237 N. Moreland Blvd., Waukesha, WI 53188. Burial will immediately follow the service at Prairie Home Cemetery, Waukesha.
