Two different ages at time of death were found. Her death record says 82-10-14, if you use that age, her birth would calculate to Dec 21 1821. If you use the age on this stone of 82-11-14, then her birth would be Nov 20 1821

Sophia was the daughter of Sam and Rebecca (Eby) Bricker. After her marriage to Joseph they moved to the farm previously owned by her father. It is reported that the farm was a wedding gift and it has become the " Hagey Homestead" since a Hagey family has occupied the farm since about 1828. The original deed to Joseph was dated 29 Oct. 1837 and registered in the Land Registry Office for the County of Waterloo on the 18 Feb. 1841 as no. 422. After the death of Joseph, Sophia moved to the farm occupied by her daughter Mary and husband Henry Kaufman, near Zion's Chapel.
