Richard Wilfred Aragón, age 64, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 22, 2018, surrounded by his family, his wife, Susan, his daughters, Stephanie and Erica and his son, Paul.
Richard loved his family, his friends and his community, and showed it through continuous acts of kindness both small and large. Richard was a dedicated servant of God, as a faithful Jehovah's Witness.
The co-owner of his family's cattle ranch, the P.A. Cattle Company, Richard loved the outdoors, hunting and spending time on the family ranch outside of Cuba, NM and in the Jemez Mountains.
Born in Cuba, NM, Richard served in the United States Army, including a tour in Germany. Richard went on to work as an electrician and retired from a career at the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Albuquerque.
Richard was the life of the party, a jokester who kept everyone around him laughing every day. Thank you, Dad, for the wonderful life you gave us, the smiles we shared and the smile on our faces whenever we remember the times we shared with you. We love you always.
Richard was preceded by his parents, Pablo and Carmelita Aragón of Cuba, NM, his sister, Henrietta and brother, Jimmy.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Susan and their children, Stephanie and Bill Strode, Erica Aragón and her partner, Ricky Hernández and Paul and Roxanne Aragón, his grandchildren, Victoria, Lauren, Alexander and Evangeline, his great-grandchildren, Nevaeh, Eric and Emma, his brothers and sisters and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who loved him so much.
