Adell Elene Richter Lawson was born Oct. 29, 1940, in Austin, Texas the eldest child of Sophie Marian Hibbeler and Guy Jones Richter. She graduated from Del Valley High School in 1959 and then attended Isbell's University of Beauty Culture in Austin and became a licensed Beautician. She met James Henry Lawson in Austin and they married on Nov. 20, 1959. In 1963 the family moved to Anderson county and lived outside Elkhart. Adell was an active member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. Adell departed this life on Jan. 24, 2006, at her home, at the age of 65. Burial in Pilgrim Cemetery was under direction of Bailey & Foster Funeral Home, Palestine. Survivors are her husband of 46 years, Henry; sister, Nella Fay Schneider; daughter, Lana Bowden; son Timothy Lawson and wife Kelly; step-daughter, Jeanie Cutler and husband Dennis; seven grandchildren: Rachel Shirey, James Bowden; Colleen, Kyle, and Caleb Lawson, Jim Bob Cutler, Kristen White; three great-grandchildren, Sarah Shirey, Justin and Macy Cutler.
