Services for Lawrence Bailey Fox, 79, of Crosbyton were held at 2 p.m. December 12, 1990 in the Adams Funeral Home Chapel in Crosbyton, with Dennis May, pastor of Emma Church of Christ in Ralls officiating. Burial followed in the McAdoo cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Crosbyton.
Mr. Fox died at 4:35 p.m. Monday at his residence after a lengthy illness. He was under a doctor´s care.
He was born in Emberton, KY., and moved from Clovis, NM to Crosbyton in 1980. He married Winona Brannan Oct 5, 1946 in Rockwall, TX. He attended McAdoo High School and had worked as a cotton gin manager in Maple, Seagraves, Idalou and Loving, NM. He served as an alderman living in Seagraves. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
A son, Leon Levoy Fox preceded him in death in 1982.
Survivors include his wife, Winona Fox; a son, David Lawrence of New York; four daughters, Joyce Marie Luton of Arlington, Jo Ann Clark Fox of Albuquerque, NM, Linda Hughes of Euless, and Shyrlee Fox of Amarillo; 14 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
