"MRS. GUSTAVE FILZ
Mrs. Gustave Filz, 62, 526 W. Atlantic street, a resident of Appleton for the last 40 years, died at her home at 1:20 this morning after a short illness. She was born in Boon county, Iowa, July 22, 1885.
Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at Mt. Olive Lutheran church with the Rev R.E. Ziesemer, pastor, in charge, and burial will be in Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the Wichmann Funeral home after Thursday noon until 10 o'clock Friday morning and then at the church.
Survivors are the widower; four daughters, Mrs. Harry Armitage and Mrs. Ray Hopfensperger, Appleton, Mrs. Clarence Vandenberg, Kimberly, and Mrs. Lawrence Hopfensperger, Abbotsford; four sons, Gustave, Clarence and Irvin Filz, Appleton, and Fred Filz, Kaukauna; three sisters, Mrs. Bernard Ray, Florida, Mrs. Nora Wilson, Idaho, and Miss Ida Michleson, Poynette; and 13 grandchildren."
