Mrs. Mary Ann Baty, widow of John William Baty, of Blytheville, died yesterday morning at her home. She was 81.
Born in Ridgely, TN, she had lived here since 1924. She was a member of the Full Gospel Tabernacle.
She leaves three daughters, Mrs. Ida Launa Baty Everett of Huntsville, AL, Mrs. Helen Huleth Baty House and Mrs. Mary Freda Baty Bisher, both of Blytheville; 14 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be tomorrow at 10 a.m. at Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Warren E. Coleman officiating. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery (later renamed Memorial Gardens Cemetery) at Piggott, Clay Co, AR.
She was the only child of Thomas Eaton Hall and Darcas Charlotte (Ellis) Hall. She had one half-brother, James Curtis Jones, a son born from her mother's first marriage to W. N. Jones. She had one half-sister, Leoda Hall, a daughter born from her father's first marriage to Sarah P. Killett.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John William Baty who died in 1924, and two sons, William Lindall Baty who died in 1946 and Thomas Leon Baty who died in 1916.
