Services were held at 1 p.m. on Monday at Hohlt and File Funeral Home in Vandalia, with the Rev. Terry Westerfield officiating. Burial was in South Hill Cemetery in Vandalia. Ms. Diveley was born on Dec. 13, 1915, in Sefton Township, Fayette County, the daughter of John Franklin and Julia Mae (Emert) Diveley.
She grew up on the farm with her four sisters, and she attended a one-room school that housed eight grades. She graduated from Vandalia High School. Camilla worked as a bookkeeper for Denny's Department Store, was comptroller at Fayette County Hospital and was a radio newscaster for WCRA for more than 20 years. she also wrote for the Centralia Sentinel newspaper and took the minutes for Vandalia City Council meetings. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Vandalia, where she taught Sunday school for many years, and Soroptimist International of Vandalia.
She is survived by a sister, Beatrice Davis of Greenville.
She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Bernice Scraper, Vodithe Reavis and Genevieve Diveley.
