Viola Mae 'Vi' Cowan, 74, died on June 17, 2018. She was born September 24, 1943 in Lindsey, Oklahoma to Ora and Hazel Trula (Carter) Adams. She graduated from Dibble High School, then moved to the Oklahoma City area in 1965, settling in Bethany, Oklahoma in 1971. She was a lifelong member of the International Pentecostal Holiness Church. Vi enjoyed cooking, throwing dinner parties and shopping, but her love was that for her children and her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Bobby Cowan (2016), and brother Dub. Vi was survived by her daughter Sheila and husband Rev. Tim Cox, sons; Bobby Cowan II and wife Kim and Rev. Steve Cowan and wife Krista. Also, by grandchildren; Heather, Holly, Austin, Colton, Cameron, Steven, Taylor, Courtney and MaKaylee; and great grandchildren. Felicity, Isaac and Kaylyn; and a sister, Kathi Bates and husband Don. Services were held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, 21, at Northwest Christian Church, Oklahoma City, with interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
