Bluefield, WV - Evelyn Stephens-Wickham, 93, of Bluefield, WV, died Friday May 11, 2018 at Bluefield Regional Medical Center. She was a homemaker and was a member of First Christian Church.
Mrs. Wickham was born September 24, 1924 in Orlando, FL to the late Claudine Cecil Williams-Stephens (1895-1990), and had been a resident of Bluefield since she was two years old. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Otis Reid Jr. (1924-2010) whom she married on June 25, 1945 in Bluefield, Mercer County, WV (per WV Marriage License Register, Mercer County, WV, 1945, Page 50, Line 31, Application Date: June 25, 1945); her second husband, Noel Freeman "Moose" Wickham Jr. (1921-2005) whom she married on February 12, 1965 in Bluefield, Mercer County, WV (per WV Marriage License Register, Mercer County, WV, 1965, Page 53, Line 19, Application Date: January 21, 1965); her son, Stephen Otis Reid (1947-1947); and her daughter, Stephanie Reid (Deceased).
Survivors include her stepson, Freeman Wickham and his wife Bonnie Wickham of Parkersburg, WV, stepgrandchildren; Ron Wickham of Marysville OH, Lorrie Wickham-Rice of Colorado Springs CO and Sandy Wickham of Parkersburg WV; and a host of precious friends.
A funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday May 15, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at First Christian Church with Pastor Doug McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Bluewell.
