Bettye Ray Warnock Burden of Rome passed away Sunday, June 17, 2018 in a Fairmount health facility. She was born in Atlanta, October 15, 1925, daughter of the late Raiford Townsend Warnock and Beatrice Elizabeth Cole Warnock. Mrs. Burden was a 28 year retiree of the Environmental Protection Agency.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Bell Burden.
Survivors include her children, Hunter and Bonnie Burden of Calhoun, John Burden of Virginia and Mary Elizabeth and Richard Rumbaugh of LaGrange; five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Wednesday, June 20 at 10:00 AM from Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Minister Jerry Branton.
