Linda Vernice Disse, age 78, was an angel called by God on Thursday, July 4, 2002. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward L. Disse. Survivors include two daughters, Linda Carol Watkins and Cecilia Ramirez; three sons, Edward Louis Disse Jr., Thomas Albert Disse and Richard Glenn Disse; 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; two sisters and four brothers. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, July 6, 2002 at St. Matthew's United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the West Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home.
