Funeral Service for Eva Madelyn Rountree Furtick 82 of Williston, S.C. will be held three p.m. Sunday June 17, 2018 in the Folk Funeral Home Chapel, Williston S.C.; burial will be in the Springfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Sunday at the funeral home. She passed away on Thursday June 14, 2018.
Born in Springfield, Georgia she was a daughter of the late Jesse Lynn Rountree, Sr. and Bessie Mable Richardson Rountree. Madelyn was a homemaker, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and a friend to all. She enjoyed cooking, shopping at TJ Maxx, Belk’s Department Store, gardening and raising plants. She was a member of the Williston United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband Jimmy L. “Jim” Furtick of the home; sons Dale (Wendy) Furtick of Aiken, Dean (Terri) Furtick of Springfield; sister Dorothy “Dot” Ellis of Williston; grandchildren Christy Furtick, Dylan Furtick, Curtis “Curt” (April) Furtick, Jr.; great grandchild Trace Furtick, III and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother J.L. Rountree, Jr.
