Willie B. Harwell, age 83, died Wednesday, April 15, 1992.
She was born in Merkel. Her parents were Willie M. Horton and Anna Lee Reeves Horton.
She came to Collingsworth County in 1915. She married Ernest Harwell February 5, 1928 in the Lillie Community. He died in 1991.
She was also preceded in death by a brother. J. T. Horton.
Mrs. Harwell was a retired nurse. She was a member of the Wellington B&PW Club, the Garden Club, the Fresno Home Demonstration Club and the First Baptist Church. She served on the board of directors of the Wellington Sheltered Workshop and the Wellington Cemetery Association.
She was a past recipient of a Seven-Who-Care award from KVII-TV in Amarillo.
Her surviving relatives include her brothers, Alvin Horton and Raymond Horton, both of Wellington; three sisters, Modell Cleveland of Wellington, Irene Connelly of Odessa and Margie Russell of Springdale, AR.
