Annabelle Jones, 97, of Linden passed away at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at the Ben Hur Health and Rehab Center, Crawfordsville.

Annabelle was born Jan. 17, 1921, at Pittsboro, the daughter of the late Ardra Leon Coffin and Maggie May Haffner Coffin Auman.

She was a 1939 graduate of Linden High School and was a homemaker but had also hung wallpaper for more than 50 years. She married Harry D. “Mac” Jones on Dec. 31, 1940, at Linden. He preceded her in death Aug. 28, 2006.

Annabelle was a member of the Ben Hur Camping Club, Linden Conservation Club, Sugar Creek Campers, Crawfordsville American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, the Binky Patrol, Crawfordsville Eagles Auxiliary and the Sugar Creek Square Dance Club.

Surviving is daughter Anne C. (Steven L.) Osting of Haines City, Florida; three sisters, Jean Edwards of Crawfordsville, Shirley Paxton of Ladoga and Darlene (Jack) Steele of Ladoga; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by son Harry David Jones; two sisters, Virginia Scott and Bernice Gentry; and by five brothers, Emory Auman, Ross Auman, Dick Auman, Robert Coffin and Marion Auman; and nephew John Coffin.

Friends may call from noon until the service at 1 p.m. Friday, June 15 at the Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, Linden. Chaplain Cindy Haley will officiate. Interment will follow at Linden Cemetery.
