Donald O'Dell Heath was the son of Ollie Green Heath and Elnora 'Nora' (Cupp) Heath from Hillsboro, TX. Donald married twice. He married first on June 16, 1940 in Clark County, Nevada, Barbara Elaine Garcia, with whom he had three daughters, two who survived to adulthood. His first wife Barbara died in 1960 from leukemia and he later remarried Otilia Vivanco and had six additional children.

Donald ODell Heath, 88, of Tehachapi, CA, went to his kingdom to be with our Father on June 24, 2002. Donald was born to Ollie and Ella Heath of Hillsborow, Texas. He resided in Hillsborow until the age of 12, and moved to Bakersfield, where he graduated from then Kern County Union High School. After graduation, he worked for the Pinkerton Detective Agency. Then, he moved to Lake Tahoe doing construction work in the Tahoe and Reno areas, where he helped construct Harolds Club and various other casinos until 1952. He dabbled as a Hollywood extra for various movies, including the Duke himself, John Wayne. He then moved back to Bakersfield, CA to manage the Robert Terry (sic should be Teller Farms) Farms until 1958. From 1958 to 1961 Donald owned his own company called Jackpot Growing and Shipping. From 1961 to the present he oversaw various ranches in the vicinity as a ranch foreman. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, boxing and being in the outdoors. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Otilia Heath, 67, of Tehachapi, CA; sons and daughters-in-law, John and Lillian Heath of Waialua, HI; Donald Jr. and Amy Heath of Palmdale, CA; George and Torey Heath of Tehachapi, CA, and son, Orlando Heath of Tehachapi, CA; daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl and Robert Rodriguez of Arvin, CA, Rosemary and Genaro Garcia of Kailua, HI, Patricia and Steve Cacciola of Tehachapi, CA, and daughter, Sharyn Wilson of Bakersfield, CA; 15 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild in September 2002.

The family would like to extend their thank you to friends and relatives for their support and love. Funeral services to be held Friday, June 28, 2002, 10 a.m. at Wood Family Funeral Services followed by burial at Westside Cemetery in Tehachapi.
