He was the son of James Lee and Mabel Washington Honesty. Also a member of Mount Carmel Baptist Church in Winchester. Wilbur owned the Hill Top Inn in Winchester and was a master carpenter. He was a World War II Army veteran. He was married to Audra Johnson Honesty of Winchester for 53 years.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son; three daughters; a brother; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A son, Wilbur R. Honesty Jr., and two brothers, Arthur and James Lee Honesty are deceased.
A funeral was held at Cartwright Funeral Home in Winchester with Pastor Gilbert M. Mack Jr. officiating.
The family received friends 3 p.m. - 5 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home and one hour before the funeral service on Monday.
