Kathy Rea
SUNNYSIDE-Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and beloved aunt, Kathryn Virginia Cox Rea, 78, passed away June 10, 2018 at her home.
She was born August 5, 1939 in Pomeroy, Ohio to Marvin and Nellie Glass Cox. On October 7, 1955, she married David V. Rea in Aztec, New Mexico.
Kathy was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a devoted member of her community where she was a Cub Scout Leader and Little League Vice-President for many years. She was very compassionate and for years worked as a C.N.A. at the nursing homes. Kathy loved helping others and her sweet spirit touched the lives of many.
She is survived by her husband, David V. Rea, Sunnyside; sons, David W. (Shelly) Rea, East Carbon, Glenn S. Rea, Sunnyside; daughter-in-law, JoAnn Glass, Orem; grandchildren, David Rea, Jr., East Carbon, Bobbie Jo Rea, Orem, Kathleen (Jose) Gonzalez, Salt Lake, Breezon Martin, East Carbon, Glenn Rea, Jr., Wellington, Stoney Glass, Sarah (Dylon) Chandler, both of Orem; brother, Jerry Cox, Ohio; brother-in-law, Milton (Ida) Rea, East Carbon; sister-in-law, Dodie Thompson, Springville; 13 great-grandchildren and many loving nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Kenneth Cox; sisters, Clara Pullins and Maxine Flores Wilcox; grandson, Joshuea Naylor; and a great-granddaughter, Aiden Martin.
Funeral service, Thursday, June 14, 2018, 11:00 a.m., East Carbon LDS Ward. Family will receive friends at the church Thursday one hour prior to service. Interment, Valley View Cemetery in Sunnyside. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price
