He was the son of Charlie and Lousie Ryan. Born and raised in Binghamton New York. He joined the Marines a few years after High School and World War II started soon after. He met my Mother Rosemary in Washington DC and they got married in 1944 . After the War they eventually headed for Miami and stopped in Orlando on their way and never left. Dad eventually got a job with NCR and worked there for 40 plus years. He and Mom raised 5 kids Diana,Mark,Gayle,Robert and Karen.My Dad had been a smoker for 30 plus years and finally was able to quit.
My parents did not want their kids to get the smoking habit so they promised us each $100.00 if we would not smoke untill we were 21. It worked. Today no one in our family smokes! More to be added later
