Born October 14, 1938, he was the son of the late Woodrow and Inez Madison. In addition to his parents; he was preceded in death by his wife, Vera Morris Madison; a sister, Joyce Woodson; a brother, Marvin Madison; brothers-in-law, Bernard Gibson and Mikey Woodson; and a niece, Telisa Carol Gibson.
He is survived by two sons; Edward L. Madison Jr. and his significant other, Tracey Fox, and Montie L. Madison; grandson Daniel Madison; granddaughter, Mariah Taylor; sisters-in-law, Maxine Madison and Sharon Gibson; three brothers-in-law, Bobby Morris and his wife, Becky, Ricky Morris and his wife, Pam, and Donnie Morris; a host of nieces and nephews and many special friends; and last but not least, his dog, Jake.
Edward worked for Morton Frozen Foods, as well as Charlottesville Truck Repair and National Linen Service. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, and a member of Solid Rock Full Gospel Church.
A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday, January 31, 2010, at the Teague Chapel, with Pastor Larry Morris officiating. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4 until 6 p.m. Saturday, January 30, 2010, at Teague Funeral Home.
