Obituary from the Springer Turner Funeral Home:
Marysvale, Utah – Kathleen Gifford Butcher was a wonderful, loving, and fun person. She was a mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, and a good friend to all. At age 70, she returned to her Heavenly Father on June 6, 2018 in Richfield, Utah. She was born on November 20, 1947 to June Lawrence and Lola Christensen Gifford in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Kathleen, also known as Kathy, married Delbert Dean Butcher in 1965 in Elko, Nevada. They were blessed with five children. They later divorced in 1979.

On July1, 1985, in Salt Lake City, she married Charles Delbert Butcher, also known as Chick. Chick and Kathy were sealed for time and all eternity in the Manti Utah Temple on March 24, 2016.

Kathy always made family a priority. She was the glue that held the family together. Kathy was a crafty soul from making macrame to fishing poles. She loved to go camping and hunting, but her excitement was NASCAR. She even had her own tire! In the end, Kathy's family, and the love of her life Chick, is what brought her so much happiness!

Kathy could make friends with anyone and make you laugh at your lowest. She had such a strong testimony of the Gospel. Kathy was the light that brightened everyone around her. Her love was a never ending river, full of peace, generosity, and sincerity. She always had a smile on her face, even if she didn't feel good. Kathy was a strong lady with a heart of gold!

She is survived by her husband, Chick Butcher of Marysvale; her children, Theresa McTee of Richfield; Betty White of Alamosa, CO; Jay Butcher of American Fork; Janeen Houtz of Marysvale; Shaun Butcher of Elsinore; along with 22 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, and two brothers.
