Huffman, Henry B.
Henry B. Huffman, eighty-six, Civil war veteran and prominent resident of Warren and Jackson township (Wells county) died at the home of a son, Lee F. Huffman, in Warren Monday evening at 6:30 o;clock (standard time).

Mr. Huffman had been in failing health for five months. He spent part of last winter in Florida, returning to Salamonie township in February. His death was caused by paralysis.
The deceased was born in Jackson township, Wells county, January 14, 1844, to Henry and Catherine Baker Huffman. His marriage was to Margaret C. Thomason, April 5, 1871. Mrs. Huffman died July 30, 1916.

Mr. Huffman enlisted in the United States army in the fall of 1864, and was discharged in June, the following year. He had lived near Warren all his life. Lee F. Huffman of Warren is the only surviving son.

The following brothers and sisters also survive: Levi Huffman of Mt. Zion, Samuel Huffman of Poneto, Mrs. Jacob Lefler of Warren and Mrs. Lydia Meredith of Bluffton.
Mr. Huffman was the last charter member of King Lodge No. 246 of the Masonic order at Warren. Members of the Masonic lodge will have charge of the services, which will be held at the Warren Christian church Thursday, July 10, at 2 o'clock, (standard time). Rev. Frederick Cooper will officiate at the services, and burial will be at the Woodlawn cemetery.
