Ashley Dawn Robinson, 23, and her unborn son, Randell James Justice Robinson, died Sunday, Jan. 7, 2007, when she was murdered near Saluda Landing near Hanover.

Ashley Robinson was born Sept. 13, 1983, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Anthony C. Martin and Sonia Robinson. She attended Shawe Memorial High School, Madison Consolidated High School and Grace Baptist School, and graduated in Muncie. She worked as a waitress at Frisch's Big Boy Restaurant in Madison and previously had worked as a waitress at the Waffle House in Carrollton, Ky. She had worked earlier as a certified nursing assistant in Muncie. She had attended the Milton Wesleyan Holiness Church in Milton, Ky. She enjoyed playing the piano and singing.

She is survived by her daughter, Amelia Dawn Robinson; her mother, Sonia Robinson Kent of Madison; her father and his companion, Anthony C. Martin and Jill Dees of Bedford, Ky.; two sisters, Amber Lynn Robinson of Madison and Kimberly Antionette Thompson of Shelbyville, Ky.; one brother, Christopher Allan Kent of Madison; her maternal grandmother, Carol Robinson of Madison; her paternal grandmother, Norma Jean Hewitt Martin of Carrollton, Ky.; two nephews; and several aunts, uncles, great-aunts, great-uncles, cousins and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Randell L. Robinson, who died Aug. 11, 2003; her paternal grandfather, James C. Martin; and one uncle.

The funeral for Ashley Robinson and Randell Robinson will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 11 a.m. Saturday until the service.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of the Ashley & Randell Robinson Memorial Fund. Contribution cards are available at the funeral home.

Funeral services were Saturday, April 14, 2007, at Morgan and Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, with Brother Mark Kessen, Brother Wayne Mahoney, and Pastor Ben Norton officiating. Burial was in Grandview Memorial Gardens, Madison.

Randell James Justice Robinson was the unborn son of Ashley Dawn Robinson, who was murdered on Jan.7, 2007, near Saluda Landing in Jefferson County, Ind.

Survivors include his sister, Amelia Dawn Robinson of Madison; maternal grandmother, Sonia Robinson Kent, Madison; maternal grandfather, Anthony C. Martin and his companion Jill Dees, Bedford, Ky.; maternal great-grandmother, Carol Robinson of Madison; and maternal great-grandmother, Norma Jean Hewitt Martin, Carrollton, Ky.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by two great-grandfathers, Randell L. Robinson, who died in 2003, and James C. Martin; and a great uncle.
