Herbert N. Worley, 89, of Madison, a businessman and manager, died April 23 at St. Catherine's Village. Memorial services were held April 25 at St. Catherine's Village. Mr. Worley was a Rankin County native. He attended Hinds Community College, Bowling Green College of Commerce and Mississippi State University. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in the Middle East Command in Cairo. He was a long-time manager for G&O Manufacturing. He was a member of the Civitan Club, where he was district governor and past president. He served on the advisory board of the state Board of Vocational Education. He was a former member of Woodland Hills Baptist Church, where he was chairman of the board of deacons and Sunday school superintendent. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Madison. Survivors include: wife, Virginia; and brother, Thomas B. Worley of Southaven.
