obit was located in the "Duluth Tribune" Aug. 11, 1946 on page #4. and reads as follows:
"Mrs. Ellen Madigan, 91, died yesterday in the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. P. Remillard, born in New York and was a Duluth resident for 50 years. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Cathedral Catholic parish and the Order of St. Francis. Surviving, in addition to Mrs. Remillard, are another daughter, Mrs. George Emsley, Superior; three sons, Frank, Cass lake; William Minneapolis, and Fred, Detroit; nine grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren."
