Catherine Angela Oligschlaeger, 91, of California, MO, died Monday, Mar 29, 2004 at Moniteau Care Center in California, MO. She was born Dec 15, 1912 in St. Elizabeth, to August and Rosa Huchtmeyer Schanzmeyer. She was married Apr 17, 1934 to Joseph B. Oligschlaeger, who preceded her in death on Mar 16, 1988. She was a graduate of Westphalia High School. In 1947 she moved from St. Elizabeth to Tipton, MO. She was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Tipton. In 1984, Catherine and her husband celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
She is survived by three sons, Daniel and wife Patricia of Tipton, Maurice and wife Carol of Tipton, and Joseph and wife Linda of Jefferson City; one daughter, Rosemary and husband James Schuster of Pilot Grove, MO; three brothers, Leonard Schanzmeyer of St. Elizabeth, August Schanzmeyer of Koeltztown, and Frank Schanzmeyer of Jefferson City. She was preceded in death by one son, August and a daughter, Ruth Ann as well as a sister, Laurentia Verhoff. Services will be Thursday, Apr 1, 2004 at St. Andrew Catholic Church with Fr. Henry Reichert officiating. Burial will be in St. Andrew Cemetery.
