AGE 87 YEARS
Inge E. Eiswerth, formerly of Tucker/Center Street, Williamsport, died Monday, June 4, 2018, at AristaCare Nursing Center, Montoursville. She was born in Kemnade, Germany on June 1, 1931, the daughter of Heinrich and Luise Schaad Fischer.
Inge was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church. She was confirmed in Kemnade, Germany in 1945. 70 years later she returned for a Mercy Confirmation Anniversary. She was a volunteer at St. Anthony’s Center for many years. Inge was a member of the American Legion Post No. 1 Auxillary, the Antlers Country Club, S.O.L. 40 et 8 and the Moose Lodge Auxillary 384. She was employed for 5 years at C.A. Reed Co. and for 10 years at GTE Sylvania-Montoursville.
She is survived by her children, Barbara (Dean) E. Tompkins, of Hughesville, Emerson J. Eiswerth and Mary L. Eiswerth, both of Williamsport. Her 8 grandchildren also survive her, as well as 14 great-grandchildren.
Inge was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Eiswerth; sons, Carl E. and Paul G. Eiswerth; and a brother, Heinrich Fischer.
Burial will be in St. Boniface Cemetery.
