Viterbo J. Anaya, 87, passed away on June 4, 2018, in Tajique, New Mexico. He was born 1930, the 28 of June to the late Juan Rafael and Marcofla Anaya. He was a lifetime resident of New Mexico.

He was a logger in Eagle Nest, NM, and worked on the railroad tracks. He was a member of the Labor Union where he worked construction for many years until he retired and still continued working selling firewood, landscaping boulders and if he would’ve tried he could have sold you the shoes you were wearing on your feet. He worked many other jobs, too many to mention. His work ethic was extraordinary. His faith was strong. His love was never ending. He always made sure that his wife, children and grandchildren were well taken care of. He had a witty sense of humor. He was a man of honor. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Viterbo is survived by his wife of 67 years, Plajeres, their children: Betty and husband, Jerry Montoya; Robert Anaya and wife, Flora; Emma and husband, Cecil Chavez; Frank Anaya, Sandra Anaya, Antonette Anaya and Fiancé Pablo Montoya; grandchildren: Rudy, Bradley and Desiree Lesperance, Anna, Thomas, Amaya and Ashia Ware, Peggy and Chris Kettle, Jerry, Emilia, Augustine and Asha Montoya, Isidro, Jessica, Nathaniel and Mathew Montoya, Gerald, Geraldine, Catherine and Michael Anaya, Florian, Kori, Parker, Esmae and Haven Anaya, Emily and Anthony Zamora, Francisco Anaya and Jason Quintana.
