Verna M. Werber

Verna M. Werber died April 8th, 2018, in Lakewood, CO.
Verna was born Jan. 7th, 1916 in Detroit, MI, to Sylvia and Gordon Williams, both of Ontario, Canada originally and was one of three children.
At age 18 she came to Colorado to work for the summer in her Grandparent's cafe in Evergreen, Colo. There she met Frank Werber and they married in July of 1934.
They made their home for a short time in Evergreen and later moved to Golden, CO where they lived until 2014. Frank and Verna were married just five months shy of 80 years.
Verna dedicated her life to being a homemaker, raising three children, with a brief job at Coors Porcelain early on in her marriage. She also cared for her aging mother for several years before her mother's death at 93.
She is survived by son Richard (Teresa) Werber of Aurora, daughter Lori (Don) Otis of Arvada and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son Franklin Gordon Werber, his wife Joan and her husband Frank R. Werber all of Golden.
Services are being held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 4500 Wadsworth Blvd. on Wednesday, April 18th at 9:30 AM.
