Mary Louise Arney Sigmon, 78, died Feb. 25, 1995, at Britthaven of Wilkesboro after a period of declining health.
Born Nov. 11, 1916, in Burke County, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary Ada Abee Arney.
A member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, she was a homemaker and was preceded in death by four children and two grandchildren.
Survivors include two sons, Tony Sigmon of Icard and Charles "Sonny" Sigmon of Hildebran; two daughters, Peggy Hedrick and Faye Travis of Hickory; a sister, Virginia Lafone of Newton; 15 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted by the Rev. Terry Pitts at 4 p.m. Tuesday at her church.
The body will be placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service.
Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Church Council will be pallbearers.
The family will be at Hickory Funeral Home from 7 to 8:30 tonight.
