Wayne Marvin Marshall, 87, passed away peacefully on Nov. 11, 2012, in Kalispell. He was surrounded by his loving family.

Wayne was born in Orofino, Idaho, in 1925.

Wayne served in World War II in the South Pacific where he was awarded the Purple Heart for his service.

A longtime resident of Superior, he was a member of the United Methodist Church, a master mason and a member of the Order of Eastern Star. He loved to camp, hunt and fish.

He was preceded in death by his stepson, Curt, in September 1975; his daughter, Debra, in April 2010; and his brothers, Melvin and Norman.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sue; his son, Marvin; and his brother, Bruce. His stepchildren include Pamela, Patrick, Tom, Tim, Candace and their spouses. He has 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Wayne, who was exceedingly kind to everyone he met, will be deeply missed. His legacy of unconditional love will live on through all who knew him.

Instead of a formal memorial service, the family will celebrate Wayne's life at their family reunion in the summer of 2013 in Kalispell. His ashes will be buried in Superior.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Wayne may be sent to the United Methodist Church, 205 First Street, Superior, MT 59872.
