Born Dec. 16, 1938, in Stanley, N.D., Mr. Lien had been a Clark County resident for the past 26 years. He worked as a carpenter and belonged to the Carpenters Local 1715 in Vancouver. Mr. Lien had been active in Evergreen Little League for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Eileen; mother, Gertrude, of Vancouver; sons, Brian, Dale, Greg and Jeff, all of Vancouver; brothers, Gale and James, both of Vancouver, Tom of Battle Ground, Wash., and David of La Center, Wash.; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Erwin, who died in 1975 and a brother, Eldo, who died in 1944. Oregonian, Monday, December 21, 1992
