The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 4, 2018, at Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel. Interment will follow in Buffalo Cemetery.
Mrs. Amos was born August 19, 1931, in Rockingham County, to the late Frank Edward and Mozelle Cardwell Joyce.
She was a member of Ayersville Baptist Church and was a retired teacher assistant from Sandy Ridge School.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed working in her flowers and always loved helping others.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Junior Amos; daughter-in-law, Sharon Smith-Amos; brother-in-law, Audrey Foley; and sister-in-law, Peggy Joyce.
Survivors include two sons: Anthony Amos (Patsy) and Ricky Amos; grandchildren: Chad Amos (Stephanie), Jeramy Taylor (Niki), and Chad Taylor (Kris); great-granddaughter, Katelyn Amos; brothers: Jerry Joyce (Barbara) and Jack Joyce; and a sister, Brenda Foley.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Sunday, June 3, 2018, at Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel.
