Marlene went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 1, 2018.

She was born October 4, 1958, to Albert and Selma Jensen. She grew up on the family farm near Hardy, Nebraska. She attended Hardy Public School through the eighth grade and graduated from Superior High School, Superior, Nebraska, in 1977. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hardy.

She worked at Samaritan Village in Hastings, Nebraska, for over 20 years before moving to Lawrence, Kansas, where she worked at Naismith Hall on KU’s campus.

Marlene had a sweet spirit, keen sense of humor and quick wit. She was a caring and kind soul.

She liked animals and was especially fond of her neighbors’ cats, Flynn and Sylvia, who greeted her when she came home from work.

She enjoyed board games…a real Wahoo (Aggravation) queen…coloring, word search puzzles, watching sports and the older TV shows. She also enjoyed time with family.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her siblings…sister Jane (Jensen) Sinclair and husband Tom; brother Tim Jensen and wife Cindy; and sister Diane Jensen; niece Carrie Kroeker, husband Matt and girls; nephew Andy Jensen; nephew Ben Jensen, wife Julie and sons; ; niece Molly Kaldahl, husband Paul and children.

A visitation with the family will be held at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home on Monday, June 4, 2018 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at Megrue-Price Funeral Home in Superior, Nebraska.

Burial is in the Spring Creek Cemetery, Ruskin, Nebraska.
