January 21, 1886, Oscar James Alexander was the first son born to John Huston Alexander and Elizabeth Francis "Ethel" ?Alexander. He joined an older sister, Lillie Maude and was later also joined by two more brothers: Leo (1892) and Arthur J. Alexander (1894).

Oscar married Mabel Irene Marrs on Dec 25, 1907 in Neosho, Missouri. They were the parents of two sons: Marrs Walter Alexander and James Oscar Alexander.

Oscar's family life was cut short when a tornado ripped through the Bates County, Missouri town of Boone on June 15, 1912. He lost his young wife, and their sons along with his father who died the next day.

On April 15, James Oscar Alexander married Mabel Daisy Christiy in Ottawa, Oklahoma, she passed away in 1943.

By 1950, James was living with his brother Arthur in Tulsa, Oklahoma:

(as of this time, I have not found his death date anywhere; if anyone has it I will be glad to add it. I wanted him to have a memorial with his wife, sons and father)

While researching this family on Ancestry, I found that James Oscar Alexander, Sr. had been living with his brother Arthur Alexander in the 1950 Federal Census records for Oklahoma, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I looked at his brother's memorial again, and he had been buried in Memorial Park Cemetery in Tulsa, Tulsa County, Oklahoma. And when I did a search for ALEXANDERS in that cemetery, there was a memorial for J. O. Alexander who died in 1973 that had a stone. So I suppose this particular memorial would be considered a centograph.
