He grew up in Ogden, Utah where he attended Ogden City Schools and graduated from Ogden High School. He honorably served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
He enjoyed trap shooting, camping and fishing. He was a member of the Ogden Trap Shooting Club and Weber County Jeep Patrol. He loved going for drives in Weber Canyon. He was known to have a very dry sense of humor.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Russell Bitton.
