Martha Ann Ashburn Adams, age 74 of Statesville, passed away May 31, 2018, at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville after a year long battle with cancer.
She was born October 22, 1943 in Albemarle to the late Ernest Cecil and Virginia Dutton Ashburn.
She was a graduate of Statesville High School. She was a member of Yadkin Baptist Church in Statesville, and she also attended Living Waters Church in Mooresville.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by husband Eino J. Mantysaari in 1970, husband James C. Adams in 2010, and a son-in-law, Joe Parker.
Martha is survived by three daughters, Alisa Mantysaari of Statesville, Laurie Myers and husband Terry of Union Grove, Kimberly Parker of Richfield; one brother; Edward Ashburn and wife Cathy of Elizabethton, Tn; six grandchildren; Brittany, T.J., Joshua Myers, Jessica, Ashlea, Nicholas Donaldson, three step-grandchildren; Austin, Jacob, Callie Parker, two great-grandchildren; Sara and Addison, one nephew Paul Ashburn.
Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Saturday, June 2, 2018, at Yadkin Baptist Church in Statesville. Rev. Charles Perry and Rev. Terry Myers will officiate. Burial will follow in the Iredell Memorial Gardens. There will be no formal visitation.
