Morris was a 1961 graduate of Lagro High School and was a Spec 5 in the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam. He married Phyllis L. Miller in Urbana, Indiana on May 29, 1964. He was the head custodian at Metro North Elementary School 23 1/2 years and also worked at General Tire in Wabash 17 1/2 years. Morris enjoyed yard work and had a huge garden. He also enjoyed reading and sitting in his chair watching the birds.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis L. Baker of Wabash; two daughters, five grandchildren, and two sisters.
He was preceded in death by his parents, step mom, Margurite Baker, and two brothers, Jody Baker and Ellis Baker.
