STEVENSON, Kelly L. DPM, went home to be with the Lord August 23, 2004. She died in her home in Pearce, Arizona as a result from an equestrian accident. Kelly grew up in Triadelphia, W.Va., leaving for Arizona to start mission work on reservations. She was a graduate of Wheeling Park High School, West Liberty State College and Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine. After completing her education, she set up practices in New Martinsville, Weston, and Huntington, W.Va. While in the Wheeling area she attended the First Baptist Church. Kelly loved God, her family, helping people, riding her horses, playing with her dogs and hiking the mountains. She was born April 18, 1963, a daughter of William and Barbara May Stevenson. She was preceded in death by a sister Barbara (Sissy), her maternal grandfather James May and paternal grandparents William and Edna Mae Stevenson. Surviving in addition to her parents is a maternal grandmother, May May; two brothers: David Stevenson of Oceanside Calif. with his wife Suk Cha; James Stevenson of Beaverfalls, Penn.; three sisters: Brenda Delgado of Triadelphia with her husband Edgar; Kim Stevenson of Malta, Ohio; Sandy Mokros of Bellaire, Ohio with her husband Louis; seven nieces, two nephews, one great niece and a great nephew. She's been blessed with many friends. Friends will be received Friday from 3 – 8 p.m. at the Altmeyer Funeral Home, 154 Kruger Street, Elm Grove Chapel, Wheeling, W.Va., where services will be held Saturday August 28, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Darrin Wright, officiating. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Wheeling. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
