Mr. Cibulka was born in Washington County, MO on February 7, 1935 to the late Daniel and Stella DeClue Cibulka and spent his entire life in this area. Jack was a hard working individual. He led a simple life where hard work and determination was his reward. He loved his family and many fond memories revolve around driving the cattle truck to East St. Louis to the stock yards and getting a hamburger on the way home. Jack and Virginia Schmitt were married at Holy Martyrs of Japan Catholic Church on July 16, 1955 and to this marriage three daughters were born.
Jack is survived by his wife of 57 years Virginia Schmitt Cibulka, his daughters: Beverly Turner and husband Bill of Rosebud, MO, Barbara Cibulka of Sullivan, MO and Brenda Piezuch and husband Randy of Sullivan, a brother: William Cibulka and wife Mary of St. Louis, MO, a sister: Anna Mae Dicus of Potosi, MO, five grandchildren: Sarah Berkemeyer, William Jacob and Joshua Turner, Samantha and Elizabeth Piezuch, four great-grandchildren: Wyatt Berkemeyer, Ethan, Willie and Jeb Turner.
Mr. Cibulka was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Floyd Cibulka and his grandson Benjamin Piezuch.
Visitation for Mr. Cibulka was on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 from 3:30 pm to 8:00 pm at the Eaton Funeral Home in Sullivan, MO.
Graveside Services were held on Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at 11:00 am at Holy Martyrs of Ja Cemetery in Japan Missouri. In lieu of flowers memorial Masses may be made to Holy Martyrs of Japan Catholic Church.
