Survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Rita (Paquette) and his children:
Alfred (Marilyn) of Oshawa
Priscilla Derouin (Joe Wilson) of Pembroke
Barry (Karen) of Ajax
June Wagar (Rick) of Toronto
Dorotha McGlashan (Ivan) of Winchester
Barbara Allen (Steve) of Niagara Falls
Frank of Lunenburg
Grandchildren: Robert, Gary, Stephen, Chantel, Brian, Johnathan, Cory, Carrie, Catherine, John, Charlene, Cassandra and 14 great grandchildren.
Bob was born in Farran’s Point Ontario. After the Seaway went through, he lived in Ingleside, where he raised his family, later moving to Ottawa, Toronto, Pembroke, and Morewood.
He served in the Royal Canadian Navy before settling on a career as a construction superintendent for most of his working life. He later became a professional fisherman working with The Fish’n Canada Show.
Bob had many hobbies including cooking, woodworking and fishing, but his passion was entertaining. He loved nothing more than to have a party and invite the world.
Bob was a member of the IOOF (Independent Order of Odd Fellows) and the Royal Canadian Legion #258 for many years.
There will be a private family service to be held at a later date. If you wish, donations may be made to the Ottawa Heart Institute in his memory.
He leaves us rich in memories.
