Struck with Baseball Bat
A.J. FISHER, 12 years old, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. T. FISHER, died yesterday near Newport from the effect of being struck with a baseball bat. Last Friday at the SULLIVAN Creek school house, three miles east of Newport, while the boys were playing baseball, Fisher was sitting close to home plate when a classmate went to strike at the ball, the baseball bat slipped, hitting the Fisher boy in the forehead. The boy lingered until yesterday. The funeral services were held at Newport.
