She was predeceased by her parents George and Catherine LaFlame (1964); husband, Fred Hancharik (1986); husband, Donald Hills (2011); her son, Bruce (1966); brother, James LaFlame (1979); sister, Ruth Wooten (2016).
She is survived by her son, James (Eileen) Hancharik of Canandaigua; daughter, Mary (Mark) Willy of Penfield. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Matthew (Jennifer) Willy of Scottsville; Catherine (John) Stephens of Webster; Daniel (Kara) Willy of Knox, Pennsylvania; Sarah (Brian) Walker of Canandaigua; Rebecca (Wisdom Prescott) Hancharik of Canandaigua; six great-grandchildren; her sister, Shirley Gibson of Clifton Springs; brother, George LaFlame of Albion; and several nieces and nephews, and her very dear friend Betty Cole of Zephyrhills, Florida.
Rose retired from Lawyers Co-operative/Thomson West Publishing in 1992. She was active with the Rochester Chapter of the American Council of the Blind, and the Rochester Pinmissers Blind Bowlers for many years, and was an avid roller skater for many years.
During her retirement she developed a love of painting and various crafts. Recently, she has been active with Tropical Acre Estates social activities, and donated her time and talents at First United Methodist Church in Zephyrhills, Florida.
Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery with a graveside service at 11:30 AM June 2, 2018.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate her life at an open-house picnic at the Creek Bend Shelter in Webster Park, 255 Holt Rd, Webster, Saturday June 2, 2018 from 2-5 PM.
