Mrs. Betsy Short, wife of Lorenzo Short, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Burdette Hamilton on the Dryden road, Ithaca, N. Y., Monday, Sept. 24, 1906, aged 70 years. Mrs. Short was born in Broome county and had lived most of her life at Harford Mills. She came to live with her daughter about one month ago. Surviving are her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Burdette Hamilton and Mrs. William Couch of Ithaca and Mrs. Wallace Leet of Center Lisle; four sons, Altheus Barnum of Killawog, James Barnum of Whitney Point, Lewis Harvey of Messengerville and Newman Harvey of Newark Valley. The remains will be taken to Harford for the funeral, which will be held today at 11 o'clock, Rev. Mr. Brown of Harford officiating. Burial will be at Berkshire.
