A soldier in the Revolutionary War, Daniel was a farmer who always lived on the farm where he was born. His name appears second on the list of privates published by Onderdonk in his Revolutionary Incidents p. 58.

Married May 30, 1770, Martha Coles 1745-1818, daughter of Jacob Coles.

3. Michael 1774-1779 was the child pulled out of bed with his mother when the torries robbed the house in 1777.
