JAMES C. ANDERSON
WEST SALEM, Wis. - James C.. Anderson 78 of 520 Tilson St., West Salem and formerly of Lanesboro, Minn., died Thursday. Feb. 18 in a West Salem nursing home.
He was born Jan. 7, 1904, in Racine to Nels and Hannah Anderson. He married Julia E. Johnson on May 18, 1963, in West Salem.
He farmed in Lanesboro for 30 years and was active in local government and the Lanesboro Farm Bureau. He was a member of the board of directors of the Ace Telephone Co. and was vice president of North Prairie Lutheran Church.
Anderson moved to West Salem in 1962 and worked for 15 years at Outers Laboratories prior to his retirement.
Survivors are his wife: one stepdaughter, Mrs. Robert (Fran) Leicht of West Salem, three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be Monday at l p.m. in the West Salem Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Ward Patton Jr. officiating: Anderson's body will be cremated. There will be no visitation. The Josiah Funeral Home, West Salem is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be given to the Gundersen Medical Foundation Limited, La Crosse. (The Ostrem Family History, p. 93)
